Yesterday we welcomed visitors from The Wooden Spoon charity to Lapford for the grand opening of The Wooden Spoon Sensory Room. It was so important for the children to be able to say thank you to the charity for their generous donation, which enabled us to create such a fantastic new space for the school. Our guests enjoyed their visit immensely and commented what a ‘happy and inclusive’ school we are. You can watch the big count down to the Grand Opening here: LPS Sensory Open Event Trim

Kingfishers and Herons have recently been to Exeter to visit the Royal Albert Memorial Museum. Kingfishers took part in several workshops linked to their World War II topic whilst Herons enjoyed a trip on the train and took a self guided tour of the museum. Both groups of children were exceptionally well behaved, and we are incredibly proud of them.
Kingfishers recently travelled to Chulmleigh College to watch Panta Rei's performance of Petals and Tales. The show, performed in the round by the Norwegian contemporary dance theatre company, featured dance, music, poetry and fairy tales. The children were captivated by the performance and absolutely loved getting on the stage at the end and playing with the petals which featured in the show.
